The Diagnosis Verification and Treatment Plan, or DVTP, is designed to serve three purposes:
- To confirm your diagnosis
- To provide personalized advice from a top Harvard-affiliated specialist on the methods best proven to treat your condition
- To provide you with peace of mind that you have the information you need to fight your illness without ever needing to leave your home country or seek alternate doctor's appointments.
According to a study published in the British Medical Journal, BMJ, Harvard physicians disagreed with an initial diagnosis just 5% of the time, while they disagreed with the recommended treatment plan 90% of the time.1 Give yourself peace of mind by getting a DVTP and knowing that you are following the best treatment regimen.

The DVTP is completed in a few easy steps:
- Gather all relevant medical records, including: pathology slides from biopsies and their reports; x-rays, MRIs, and CT scans and their reports; doctor's notes; blood work and other testing. The more information, the more accurate your report will be.
- Have your doctor complete the required forms that will be provided to you by Care Management Services.
- Submit your medical records and the required forms to our CareManagement Services office in Boston, Massachusetts (see below for Care Management Services contact information). These can be sent via postal service, fax or e-mail accordingly.
- Receive your report within 7 to 10 business days.
- After review, submit follow-up questions that you may have about your report.
Please note that if you are a Preferred Care member and have been diagnosed with a covered condition, the DVTP is included as the first step in the program process.
